Casanova was inspired by an article I read about a boy who was ridiculed at school because of his mother’s work. The story stayed with me, especially as an art professor working with students navigating difficult and often unseen struggles. This comic imagines who that boy might become, centering on a forgotten gift and the quiet resilience that emerges when vulnerability is allowed to exist.
