Fix was inspired by the relationship between my father and I. He struggled with drug addiction and spent much of his life in and out of jail, and he passed away before we were ever able to fully reconcile. Creating this story became a way for me to explore that complicated bond, process what was left unsaid, and offer something meaningful to readers who’ve experienced loss, addiction, or fractured family relationships.
