Platanoman was inspired by discovering my half sister through Ancestry.com and learning about the difficult childhood she endured. That experience shaped this story of a hero who loses himself in the pursuit of justice and, in doing so, fractures his relationship with his wife and daughter. At its core, the comic is about reconciliation and the longing to repair what time and absence have taken, offering a chance at connection where real life did not.
